WORKS RECEIVED At the Waldorf-Astoria, 34th Street and Fifth Avenue, Monday and Tuesday, March 6th and 7th, from 9 A.M. to 5 P. M WORKS TO BE REMOVED On Monday, April 3rd, from 9 A.M. TO 5 P.M. Works not removed on those dates will be stored at the expense of the artists. / By a vote at annual meeting of 1921, the alphabetical System of hanging, as applied last year, will be adhered to. No work may be removed during the exhibition, and all works must remain as placed by the Hanging Committee. Artists may exhibit their picture with or without frames. It is the consensus of opinoin of the directors that the exhibition will gain very greatly in appearance, besides gaining in hanging space, if exhibitors will use frames of a maximum width of three inches. No member is obliged to conform to this decision which is offered merely as a means of improving the appearance of our walls. As was done the five preceding years, the prices of the exhibits will be placed on small cards under the works, except in the case of members who prefer not to have their prices thus made known. A commission of 15 per cent will be charged on all sales. The greatest care will be exercised in the handling of exhibits, but the Society of Independent Artists will not be responsible for loss or damage, whatsoever the cause, and the sending of works to the exhibition shall be understood to impoly the acceptance of this rule. Exhibitors may have a full page reproduction of one of their works in the catalogue on payment of $6.00: they must supply the photograph therefor, which must be received by the Secretary not later than February 18. Photographs for the catalogue should have the name of the artist and titled of the work written plainly on the back. The Press Committee will also be glad to receive PHOTOGRAPHS TO SUPPLY TO THE NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES. No charge is made for this service; the Committee is naturally unable to say how many photographs will be asked for by the representatives of the press. The Society does not collect or return exhibits. For the convenience of out-of-town exhibitors, information is given to New York firms which attend to this work: Artists' Packing and Shipping Co., 139 West 54th St.; Wm. S. Budworth & Son, 424 West 52nd St.; George F. Of, 274 Madison Ave. No packing cases will be received at the Waldorf-Astoria. Membership cards sering as season tickets to the exhibition are enclosed.
